Richardson, Texas - Added 2019-05-14 Application Support Analyst II

The Applications Support Analyst will be responsible for Level 2 support activities in a large enterprise environment based in Richardson, TX. There are approximately 80 custom written applications in Java, .NET, and Access that will be supported.

The Level 2 Applications Support Analyst will handle basic code enchantments and will not handle any type of design or development. Level 2 handles mostly run/maintain activities.

To be a rock star in this role, knock these responsibilities out of the park:

Monitoring:

  • Performance Monitoring
  • Dashboard Monitoring
  • Alert monitoring

Application Management:

  • Basic Application configurations
  • Basic application support questions
  • Intermediate trouble shooting
  • Basic core enhancements
  • Basic core patches
  • Modifications, not full development

Run/Maintain activities:

  • Access/permissions
  • Handle Mass data uploads
  • Password changes for Application/DB
  • Reporting run/maintain

Additional:

  • Test Cases / Running Tests
  • Change Management

Think you can handle it? You’ll also need to come equipped with experience like:

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices/processes
  • Knowledge of:
    • SQL scripting / SQL queries
    • Java, or .NET, or ASP, or Access database, or  SQL database or  Oracle database, etc.
  • Awareness of:
    • Jira, Bitbucket, and/or Confluence is highly desirable
    • Code release & review
    • ITSM Tools: Cherwell (or similar tools for Incident, Change Management, etc.)
  • Reporting: Spotfire (or similar reporting tools)
