TSP Celebrates Successful Opening of the TSP Training Center

(DALLAS) June 26, 2018TSP (Technology Service Professionals), a privately held IT services company, recently celebrated the opening of The TSP Training Center, a 2,600-square foot facility dedicated to the training and development needs of its people — TSP’s most important product. The new facility will serve as the company’s primary training location in support of TSP’s 600 employees nationwide.

The training center consists of large and small training rooms complete with state-of-the-art technology for classroom and e-learning applications. Over half the space incorporates servers, systems, scanners and data filers to create mock customer environments, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical, hands-on training.

“Previously, our boot camps and training classes were scattered between our corporate office and our old warehouse – neither of which were conducive to dynamic learning environments,” said Frank Gonzalez, co-founder and CEO of TSP. “The TSP Training Center is truly one of a kind and is a concrete example of TSP living out our mission of empowering our employees.”

The TSP Training Center, located at 1850 North Greenville Avenue #112, is only six miles from TSP’s corporate headquarters in Richardson, Texas — an affluent inner suburb of Dallas. The city is home to The University of Texas at Dallas, as well as the Telecom Corridor. TSP is in good company with over 5,000 businesses operating in Richardson including Texas Instruments, Geico, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, AT&T, Cisco Systems, Samsung and Fujitsu.

“Training and developing our employees has always been a top priority for TSP,” said Rick Skaggs, co-founder and chairman of TSP. “Having this new dedicated facility is a monumental milestone for TSP and our future. I personally can’t wait to see the growth that occurs from our employees as they use this new space to hone and increase their skills to better answer the needs of our diverse customer base.”

The TSP Training Center, while primarily for the growth and development of internal employees, can also be used by customers. In the past, the company has hosted trainings for their customers’ employees and partners and looks forward to increasing this type of utilization in the new space.

ViON Corporation and TSP Enter into New Partnership

(DALLAS) June 12, 2018TSP (Technology Service Professionals), a privately held IT services company, announces a new partnership with ViON Corporation, a cloud service provider and market leader in the design, delivery and maintenance of mission-critical IT infrastructure solutions. TSP and ViON share a commitment to continuous improvement and the discovery of new ways to increase market share while better utilizing resources and opportunities.

“As we built our 2018 strategy, we recognized a gap in coverage, particularly in our services business,” said Rob Davies, executive vice president, operations for ViON. “After reviewing several options, it became clear that a partnership with TSP was our answer. They have a similar approach to customer service; a strong, positive, and supportive corporate culture; and their capabilities align and augment ViON’s in a way that allows both companies to grow.”

The primary focus of this partnership is to take care of the employees and create a relationship that will strengthen TSP and ViON, allowing both to broaden their respective services and sales opportunities, ultimately increasing revenue.

“The opportunity to partner with a company like ViON is very exciting for us,” said Frank Gonzalez, co-founder and CEO of TSP. “It was a natural and next step in the continuous evolution of TSP and ViON. This new partnership makes great strides in positioning both companies to continue our commitments to customers and to grow our managed service and support capabilities.”

TSP Sponsors Sixth Annual Leighton’s Ride, a Charity Motorcycle Ride on May 19 Benefitting Leighton’s Gift

(DALLAS) May 1, 2018TSP (Technology Service Professionals), a privately held IT services company, announced it will be the signature sponsor of the sixth-annual Leighton’s Ride. The fundraising event will benefit Leighton’s Gift, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013 with a mission to turn a tragedy into something positive.

The ride will occur on May 19, starting and finishing at Old Celina Park (12670 FM 428, Celina, TX 75009). Altogether, the ride covers approximately 75 to 100 miles. For those who may not own or ride a motorcycle, there will also be an open celebration, featuring live music from Faded Blue, kids playtime from Play Street Museum on wheels, as well as food from Tender Smokehouse BBQ.

“At TSP, we look forward to supporting Leighton’s Ride every year. This charity is one of our most cherished, as it is an important cause to one of our own #TSProckstars, Chris, and his wife Amy,” said Frank Gonzalez, co-founder and CEO, TSP. “Our hope is that we can continue to give back to the community and make a difference in the lives of those we touch.”

The annual ride is the main source of fundraising for Leighton’s Gift, which was co-founded by Chris Skaggs, TSP’s vice president of talent and brand, and his wife Amy Skaggs, after their experience in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with their son Jaxon, and late daughter, Leighton. The foundation’s current project is dedicated to installing webcams into the NICU at various hospitals – enabling parents to connect with their infants at any time from their computer, smart phone, tablet or other web-enabled device.

“My wife and I are elated to have TSP’s ongoing support in raising funds and awareness for Leighton’s Gift and our annual Leighton’s Ride,” said Chris Skaggs. “We would not be able to do what we do without this support.”

To date, Leighton’s Gift has raised over $100,000 and installed 45 webcams into the NICU at Texas Health Plano (THP) and will continue to raise funds to purchase and install webcams into the NICU at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, the foundation’s next approved hospital.

Leighton’s Gift is 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 2013 by Chris and Amy Skaggs with a mission to turn a tragedy into something positive. After the premature birth and subsequent neonatal intensive care (NICU) admission of both Jaxon and Leighton, they were inspired to give back. Jaxon came home from the NICU after 74 long days; however, Leighton earned her angel wings three short weeks after birth due to a late-onset group B strep infection. It was the couple’s desire to create a lasting legacy for Leighton that was the main driving force behind the creation of the foundation. To learn more, visit leightonsgift.com/.
